R/W trap farm build
I came up with this yesterday/today. I had been trying to get better at trap farming ettins. What I noticed was that as I suck at trapping, I often aggroed the ettins too early. (yes, I suck. real pathetic.) Anyway, I wanted to find a way to kill the ettins quickly while the traps didn't get the job done, (ettins too spread out, aggroed by accident, etc.) Now, you may just say, "noob, just trap better j33z". Well, this build I guess is meant to be more forgiving while learning to trap properly.
Equipment: druid's, zealus if you have it, but w/e axe, + energy staff for laying traps.
Attributes:
12 axe
8 expertise
12 wilderness survival
runes: minor expertise, minor wilderness, +1 expertise for hat, w/e vigor. I suppose +1 ws in the hat would be better, but I'm lazy.
skills:
disrupting chop
cyclone axe
dodge
spiked trap (barbed if you want bleeding instead of knockdown)
dust trap
flame trap
troll unguent
apply poison/whirling defence (whirl if you like to aggro lots and the traps for somereason don't get them all)
So, basically this is a standard trap farming build that finishes off remaining enemies quicker using axe skills instead of bow. I like it alot in the little bit that I've used it. apply poison is nice to poison everything with 1 cyclone axe swing.
Obviously, this build is not perfect, changes to runes can easily be made. Distracting blow would be nice to stop multiple ettins from using heal sig if they were to use it at same time. which is quite possible if they all hit traps at the same time. But it doesn't disable anything. So 4 seconds later, there it is again, before distracting blow is ready.
Constructive criticism + comments are welcome. Flames are not.
edit: added in equipment section. Section, LOL! it's a single line.
